Mistress Dispeller (DIFF)

In China, a new industry has emerged to help couples stay married despite infidelity. Wang Zhenxi is in this profession, a “mistress dispeller” who is hired to maintain bonds of marriage by any means necessary. Offering intimate access to private dramas usually hidden behind closed doors, Mistress Dispeller follows a real case of infidelity as Teacher Wang attempts to bring a couple back from crisis. Their story shifts between husband, wife and mistress to explore emotion, pragmatism and cultural norms that shape relationships in contemporary China.
