Fly away home. It’s Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape. Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson plans to escape her small town by going to college in new York. She fights against but is exactly like her wildly-loving, deeply-opinionated and strong-willed mom, a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird's father loses his job.
