Lambert’s début feature (he also wrote the script), selected for the Cannes Critic’s Week 2012, is accomplished, funny and dramatic, about the blossoming of love and the shifting power in a relationship. Even better, his characters are so well-drawn, with appealing performances by the leads, that we actually care about them and what happens to them.
