Kadal

Kadal (Sea) is a 2013 Indian Tamil drama film directed and co-produced by Maniratnam. The film features Gautham karthik & Thulasi nair in the lead roles besides Aravindsamy & Arjun. The film revolves around the life of fishermen who instil the fact that how faith can sometimes lead to the triumph of humanity. The film is shot in exotic locales of Manapad, Kottayam, Kochi, Alappuzha and Andaman nicober islands. The film is produced by Maniratnam’s madras talkies and distributed by Gemini film circuit. The music and background score for the film is done by A.R Rahman (Oscar & academy award winner) and cinematography is handled by Rajiv menon. The music album is released by the record label Sony Music and opened up with extremely positive reviews, topping the Indian music charts.
