Make the Yuletide Gay

This low key, sweet and easy coming-out tale with a Christmas twist works through the inner, sometimes irrational fears, which keep the closet door closed. It’s Christmas holidays, and openly gay college student Olaf “Gunn” Gunnunderson travels home, crawling back into the closet before he arrives to be greeted by his excitedly ebullient mother, and permanently stoned professor father.

Being the only ‘normal’ person in his family, it comes as an unexpected shock when his flamboyant boyfriend and college roommate, Nathan (abandoned at the last minute by his rich jet-setting parents) turns up on his doorstep. Nathan tones down his behaviour and passion for Gunn in order to keep his secret, but soon the novelty of the bunk bed wears off and Nathan and Gunn’s ex-girlfriend Abby lobby for the truth to be told.
