Citizen Architect: Samuel Mockbee and the Spirit of the Rural Studio

The architect Samual Mockbee cofounded the Rural Studio, a program that takes students out into rural Alabama to design and build for those poverty-stricken communities. The film follows the building of one man’s house from beginning to end
as well as re-telling the history of the studio. The footage of these inspiring projects is just as pleasing as the descriptive interviews with students, residents and Mockbee himself.
