Everybody's got some. Sheldon (played by Rokmond Dunbar, of "<i>Prison Break</i>" and <i>Soul Food</i> fame), is a high-flying gay New York journalist who finds out he has a child and returns reluctantly to small-town Georgia to face the music. Home is difficult: Son Gabriel is now 10, his stripper mother dead in a freak bus accident involving barbecue sauce, a grilled spare rib and a stray deer; and Sheldon’s mother (Loretta Divine) is a frankly challenging woman. Also in the house are his doormat sister, her larger-than-life daughter, Pudge, and a thicker than gravy brother. Into the mix is thrown a buff, camp white guy from New York, suggesting a very interesting relationship with Sheldon, who does more than just upset the applecart.
