A lekker, scary, funny film by Michael Raeburn. April, 1994, Triomf, South Africa - the poor white suburb of Johannesburg that was built on the ruins of the mixed race community, Sophiatown. Thematically conceived as a Greek tragedy of claustrophobia, incest, rage and madness set within a poor white family whose implosion echoes affairs of state as Afrikaner power wanes and a new nation is born.

On the day of the first general election, Lambert Benade will turn 21 and Uncle Treppie promises him the girl of his dreams. In this hilarious but scary movie, two members of this hillbilly family are destined to die.
