There Will Be Blood

Daniel Planview (Daniel Day-Lewis), a down-and-out silver miner, transforms himself into a wealthy man - a wise and shrewd oil tycoon and a nasty man who will step on anyone to get what he wants.<br /><br />When Planview catches wind of a little town where there is an abundance of oil to mine, he meets with Eli Sunday, seeking to mine oil on Sunday?s land. Thinking that the Sundays are hicks, Planview tries to swindle them out of their dues for the oil. Eli Sunday realises they are in for more than Planview is letting on, and prepares himself for the worst of Planview.<br /><br />Planview?s demons begin to crop up inside his head, and, while he initially tries to ignore them, he soon has to battle with morality, which becomes the real issue for him.
