How to Enter:
1. Buy a movie ticket to watch 3 of the 8 movies in the campaign at any Nu Metro cinema.

2. Scan the QR Code at the bottom of your movie ticket and fill in your details. This step must be completed for all 3 movies.

3. Congratulations you are automatically entered into the grand prize draw.

1. Eligibility:

The competition is open to residents of South Africa who are 18 years or older.

Employees of Nu Metro, associated partners, distributors, and any agencies directly connected with the creation of this promotion are not eligible to participate.

Redeeming of complimentary tickets does not qualify for entry into the competition.

Tickets purchased using any other promotion does not qualify for entry into the competition.

2. Campaign Period:

The competition runs from the first show on 1 November 2024 to the last show on 14 January 2025, with the grand prize draw taking place on 21 January 2025. Winners will be chosen by random draw. Nu Metro reserves the right to reject any entrant/ winner from the competition at its sole discretion. The decision of Nu Metro Cinemas will be final and binding on all aspects of this competition and no correspondence will be entered into.

Entries will only be valid for movie tickets purchased and movies watched within this period.

3. How to Enter:

Participants must purchase a ticket and watch at least 3 of the 8 eligible movies at any Nu Metro cinema location across South Africa during the promotional period.

Eligible movies include: Red One, Lord of the Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim, Gladiator 2, Wicked Part 1, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Moana 2, Kraven the Hunter, and Mufasa: The Lion King.

Movie tickets must be purchased through the Nu Metro website, app, or in person at the cinema via kiosk or point of sale. Tickets purchased or obtained via Nu Metro partner sites are not eligible for entry.

Each ticket will contain a unique QR code that participants must scan and register using the online form provided via the QR code mechanism. All 3 tickets must be registered and all applicable participant information must be provided for an entry to be valid. The validity of an entry shall be at the sole discretion of Nu Metro and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. Prize Conditions:

The cash prize is non-transferable.

The winner shall collect the prize from the Nu Metro cinema where the qualifying tickets were purchased.

The winner will have no choice regarding the prize allocated randomly. The prize must be taken as given and as per the specifications allotted to it by Nu Metro and Nu Metro Cinema’s decision is final.

6. Entry Restrictions:

Entries are only valid for tickets registered via the official QR code mechanism provided by Nu Metro.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information they submit is accurate and complete.

Incomplete or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

Nu Metro accepts no responsibility for lost tickets or incorrect entries.

7. Winner Notification:

Winners will be notified via the contact information provided during registration within 10 working days after the draw.

If a winner cannot be reached within 3 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected. A maximum of 3 attempts will be made to contact the winner.

Nu Metro will require proof of identification of the winner to accept the prize.

9. General Conditions:

This Competition and the awarding of prizes are held in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 and specifically the regulations governing promotional competitions. Any changes required to these terms and conditions in order to comply therewith will be effected without notice.

Nu Metro Cinemas, it’s directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors and sponsors, subsidiaries and/or holding companies is indemnified against and assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damage to person or property arising from an entrants participation in this competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising.

Nu Metro Cinemas remains fully indemnified, at all times, against use or redemption of prizes.

By participation in this competition you hereby indemnify Nu Metro against any claim whatsoever arising out of the promotion or the issuing of any prize associated therewith.

All risk in and to prizes transfers to the winner on redemption of the prize.

If required by law or for whatever other reason at the discretion of Nu Metro, and at any time during the competition, Nu Metro Cinemas shall have the right to terminate this competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination to any entrants or winners. In such event, all entrants hereby waives any rights, which they may have against Nu Metro Cinemas for any direct or indirect damages and hereby acknowledges that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against either company, subsidiary or holding company, their directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants.

Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right, should the need arise, to vary elements of the competition and prize, if deemed necessary. In such an event the variation will be communicated on the same platform on which these terms and conditions appear. Nu Metro will not be liable for any costs or damages as a result of such variation.

Should Nu Metro Cinemas be unable to, for any reason whatsoever, supply the specified prize, they reserve the right to substitute the advertised prize (or any element(s) of the advertised prize) for an alternative prize. Nu Metro will not be liable for any costs or damages as a result of such substitution.

Should the winner, for any reason whatsoever, including any failure/negligence on the part of Nu Metro Cinemas, their directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants, be unable to collect the prize within a reasonable period of winning then the prize shall be forfeited and a new winner shall be drawn. No liability shall attach to Nu Metro Cinemas, their directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants in this regard.

Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without further notice.

Nu Metro cannot be held responsible for any technical failures or disruptions in the ticket purchase or registration process.

10. Data Privacy:

By participation in this competition and entry of participants information using the QR mechanism the participant consents to the processing of its personal information.

Any personal data collected through this competition will be used solely for the purposes of administering the campaign and contacting the winner.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with Nu Metro’s privacy policy.
