1. By participating in this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are relevant to the competition.
2. The Nu Metro Cinemas Xtreme October competition (the Competition) runs from 09:00 on 29 September 2021 to 23:59 on the 3 November 2021 (the promotional period).
3. Entries must be received by no later than 23:59 on the 3rd November 2021. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
4. The Competition is open to anyone in South Africa, who purchases at least 1 (one) Xtreme movie ticket for all three qualifying movies at any participating Nu Metro cinema during the competition period.
5. You must purchase an Xtreme movie ticket to watch all three qualifying movies in Xtreme to be eligible for entry.
6. Qualifying movies in Xtreme are:
   • 6.1 No Time to Die
   • 6.2 Venom: Let There Be Carnage
   • 6.3 Dune
7. Participating Nu Metro Cinemas are:
   • 7.1 Nu Metro Canal Walk
   • 7.2 Nu Metro Ballito Junction
   • 7.3 Nu Metro Cornubia Mall
   • 7.4 Nu Metro Galleria
   • 7.5 Nu Metro Clearwater
   • 7.6 Nu Metro Emperors Palace
   • 7.7 Nu Metro Menlyn Park
   • 7.8 Nu Metro The Glen
8. To enter, you must do the following:
   • 8.1 Purchase an Xtreme movie ticket at any participating Nu Metro cinema during the promotional period for all three qualifying movies;
   • 8.2 Keep your movie ticket stub with the Ticket Number;
   • 8.3 Visit numetro.co.za/xtremeoctober and complete the online entry form.
9. Entry is open to individual entrants only – group and company entries are not permitted.
10. Each person is allowed unlimited entries into the competition, provided all the entry criteria as set out in the terms and conditions have been met.
11. Nu Metro accepts no responsibility for lost tickets or incorrect entries.
12. One potential Winner will be chosen by means of a random draw, which will take place on Monday 8th November 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter, should additional potential winners need to be drawn.
13. The potential winner will be contacted telephonically by a representative of Nu Metro Cinemas by no later than 12th November 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter where additional potential winners had to be drawn. Potential Winners will be contacted by email or phone. 3 (three) attempts will be made to contact the winner over a 48-hour period. If a selected potential winner is not contactable, a runner-up potential winner will be selected until five potential winners are contacted.
14. Nu Metro shall review the selected potential winners to confirm that all agreed Terms and Conditions of the Competition are satisfied to verify that the selected winner is eligible to win. The winners will be required to sign a Prize Acceptance and Release form in order to be eligible to win the prize, indemnifying Nu Metro of any losses howsoever caused to the person and/or property of the Winners accepting and undertaking the activities associated with the prize. Should the winner refuse to sign the prize acceptance and release form then the winner shall be disqualified and shall not be eligible for the prize, in which case another winner will be drawn.
15. Nu Metro’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. Nu Metro cinemas will use any means available to contact winners by the stipulated dates. Should Nu Metro Cinemas be unable to contact winners and verify the winners within 1 (one) week of the prize draw, Nu Metro reserves the right to hold another random draw and allocate the prize to another entrant (the “Redraw”). This will apply to all subsequent winners of any Redraws.
17. Once the Winner has been notified and signed the Prize Acceptance and Release Form, a handover of the prize will be arranged.
18. The Prize:
    • 18.1 One winner will receive one prize consisting of one Xtreme Movie Card,entitling the winner to one free Xtreme movie ticket to watch each movie released in Xtreme only once, for one year from date of issue.
19. Please note the following terms and conditions for use of the prize:
    • 19.1 The Xtreme Movie Card is valid for one year from date of issue;
    • 19.2 The Xtreme Movie Card valid for one person (the winner);
    • 19.3 The Xtreme Movie Card can only be redeemed for movies showing in Xtreme at Nu Metro Canal Walk, Nu Metro Ballito Junction, Nu Metro Cornubia Mall, Nu Metro Galleria, Nu Metro Clearwater, Nu Metro Emperors Palace, Nu Metro Menlyn Park, Nu Metro The Glen;
    • 19.4 The Xtreme Movie Card is not valid for movies showing in Regular 2D, Regular 3D, VIP or 4DX;
    • 19.5 The Xtreme Movie Card is not valid movies in the first week of release, where complimentary ticket restrictions apply;
    • 19.6 Each movie in Xtreme can only be watched once;
    • 19.7 The Xtreme Movie Card can only be used to book an Xtreme movie ticket at Nu Metro Cinemas ticket counters and cannot be used for telephonic bookings, online bookings or at self-service terminals;
    • 19.8 The Xtreme Movie Card is not transferable and may not be used by anyone other than the winner, as depicted by the name on the Xtreme Movie Card;
    • 19.9 Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to ask for identification from the patron who presents the Xtreme Movie Card;
    • 19.10 Should management become aware of the Xtreme Movie Card being abused, Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to withdraw card;
    • 19.11 Please be aware that due to the large demand on our films during opening week, complimentary tickets are not valid within the films’ first week of release. Please check our website or ask our cinema staff, who will be happy to assist you and identify which films are still restricted. Please pay particular attention to this to avoid any inconvenience;
    • 19.12 Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to cancel the Xtreme Movie Card at their discretion at any time;
20. The prize must be taken as-is. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
21. By participating in this competition and accepting the prize, the winners agree to the publication of their names and/or photographs on any platforms that Nu Metro Cinemas sees fit. This includes (but is not limited to) print advertising, digital advertising, social media posts, and websites.
22. The Competition and the awarding of prizes are held in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, of South Africa and specifically the regulations governing promotional competitions. Any changes required to these terms and conditions in order to comply therewith will be effected without notice.
23. Nu Metro Cinemas’ directors, members, shareholders, partners, employees, agents, or consultants and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates, subsidiaries and/or holding companies are not eligible to participate in or enter this competition.
24. All information relating to this competition and published on any promotional or advertising material forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
25. Nu Metro reserves the right to reject any entrant/winner from the competition at its sole discretion.
26. In the event of a dispute, the decision of Nu Metro Cinemas will be final and binding on all aspects of this competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
27. Nu Metro Cinemas, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors, subsidiaries and/or holding companies are indemnified against and assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damage to person or property arising from an entrants’ participation in this competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising.
28. If required by law or for whatever other reason at the discretion of Nu Metro, Nu Metro Cinemas shall have the right to terminate this competition with immediate effect, or vary the Terms and Conditions thereof, and without notice of such termination or variation to any entrants or winners. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights that they may have against Nu Metro Cinemas for any direct or indirect damages and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against either company, subsidiary, or holding company, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants.
29. If Nu Metro Cinemas suspects foul play by any entrant/participant/winner, Nu Metro is entitled to disqualify the participant/entrant/winner with immediate effect. Nu Metro Cinemas’ decision regarding this is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
30. Entrants to the competition are responsible for entering their correct personal details and should they win, Nu Metro Cinemas will not be held liable should the details submitted be incorrect.
31. Should any of the Winners, for any reason whatsoever, including any failure/negligence on the part of Nu Metro Cinemas, its directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants, be unable or unwilling to take up the prize before the expiry of the prize then no liability shall attach to Nu Metro Cinemas, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants.
32. By participation in this promotion all entrants/winners participating in this promotion and the Winners’ guests agree that they do so strictly and entirely at their own risk and that Nu Metro Cinemas, its respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, subcontractors, agents and/or affiliates, in whole or in part, shall not be liable for any loss, injury, death, and/or damage (including but not limited to general, consequential or special damages or loss of profits) of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising (including but not limited to whether directly or indirectly or whether or not by way of negligence) to any person and/or other person (third party), dependents, assignees, executors, trustees or legal representatives.
33. Nu Metro Cinemas reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without further notice.
34. By participating in the competition, you agree to receive marketing communication from Nu Metro Cinemas.
