The Metro Moola promotion runs from 4 November 2022 and runs till 2 March 2023 at all Nu Metro Cinemas in South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique.

  • Collection Period: you can collect one Metro Moola note for every Nu Metro movie ticket purchased between 4 November 2022 and 12 January 2023.
  • Redemption Period: you can use any 3 Metro Moola notes collected during the collection period, to redeem one Regular 2D complimentary movie ticket between 13 January 2023 and 2 March 2023.

You can collect your Metro Moola notes from the door control staff member (this is the staff member that checks your movie ticket and tears the stub before allowing you entry into the cinema area) at Nu Metro cinema when you provide your unused movie ticket stub.

Yes, the Metro Moola promotion does apply for movie tickets purchased online.

You can collect 1 (one) Metro Moola for every unused Nu Metro movie ticket you buy during the collection period, 4 November 2022 to 12 January 2023.

  • Regular 2D movie tickets are not valid for VIP, Xtreme, 4DX or Regular 3D movies.
  • VIP 2D movie tickets are not valid for VIP 3D, Regular 2D, Regular 3D, Xtreme or 4DX movies.

Metro Moola Terms And Conditions

  1. By participating in this promotion, you agree to the following terms and conditions relevant to the promotion:
  2. The Nu Metro Festive Promotion, “Metro Moola,” promotion entails:
    1. The issue of Metro Moola notes for qualifying movie ticket purchases between 4th November 2022 and 12th January 2023./li>
    2. The redemption of 1 (one) free Nu Metro Complimentary Regular 2D movie ticket (hereinafter “Complimentary Regular”) in exchange for 3 (three) Metro Moola notes between 13 January 2023 and 02 March, 2023.
    3. at Nu Metro Hyde Park, Nu Metro Bedford, and Nu Metro Woodlands only (hereinafter “Complimentary VIP”), in exchange for 3 (three) Metro Moola notes between 13 January 2023 and 02 March, 2023.
  3. The Metro Moola promotion runs from the 4th November 2022 to 12th January 2022, or while stocks last.
  4. The Metro Moola promotion is open to everyone who purchases any Nu Metro (2D, 3D, 4DX, Xtreme, or VIP) movie ticket during the promotional period as stipulated in these terms and conditions.
  5. You will receive 1 (one) Metro Moola note for each Nu Metro (2D, 3D, 4DX, Xtreme, or VIP) movie ticket purchased during the promotional period.
  6. Once you accumulate 3 (three) Metro Moola notes you will be entitled to present the 3 (three) original “Metro Moola” notes and claim 1 (one) free Complimentary Regular movie ticket or 1 (one) free Complimentary VIP movie ticket between 13 January 2023 and 02 March, 2023.
  7. The 1 (one) free Complimentary Regular or 1 (one) free Complimentary VIP constitutes a complimentary ticket and, as such, is subject to rules applicable to complimentary tickets:
    1. Complimentary tickets cannot be used for movies in their first week of release.
    2. Complimentary tickets may only be redeemed at box office.
    3. Normal box office booking procedure applies.
    4. Complimentary tickets cannot be redeemed against movies that prohibit the use of complimentary tickets, as indicated physically on the movie advertising material from time to time.
  8. Metro Moola notes cannot be redeemed before 13th January 2023.
  9. You may collect your Metro Moola notes at door control (that is, the point that your movie tickets are presented to a Nu Metro representative for admission to the respective cinema, provided that you are duly admitted by such Nu Metro representative). Once a movie ticket stub is torn, you will not be entitled to any further Metro Moola notes. Metro Moola notes will be deemed as issued for any movie tickets with torn off stubs.
  10. Only original, un-redeemed movie tickets will qualify for Metro Moola notes, meaning that Metro Moola notes will not be issued for movie tickets already watched.
  11. You will qualify for a Metro Moola note when you redeem a movie ticket using scene club points or a complimentary ticket.
  12. You will not earn Scene Club points on the free Complimentary Regular movie ticket (free Complimentary VIP movie ticket at Nu Metro Hyde Park, Nu Metro Bedford, and Nu Metro Woodlands, only) received when redeeming Metro Moola notes.
  13. No Metro Moola note will be issued for a movie ticket obtained by redeeming a readmission ticket, or for the free complimentary ticket issued when presenting 3 (three) Metro Moola notes.
  14. Any 3 (three) Metro Moola notes received during the promotional period (4th November 2022 - 12th January 2023) must be redeemed for 1 (one) free Complimentary Regular movie ticket or 1 (one) free Complimentary VIP movie ticket, by midnight on the night of 2nd March 2023. Tickets not redeemed by this time will be forfeited.
  15. Promotion does not apply for bulk ticket purchases; bulk ticket purchases are more than 50 tickets.
  16. No member, employee or consultant of Nu Metro Cinemas, a division of Avusa Entertainment Investments (Pty) Ltd and/or any of its affiliated companies and/or agencies, members of their immediate family, members of the sponsors or suppliers of this competition, including their affiliated companies and/or agencies, or members of their immediate families, may participate in this promotion.
  17. Metro Moola notes are not transferrable and/or negotiable or redeemable for cash.
  18. Only original Metro Moola notes will be accepted. No copies will be accepted for redemption of a free Regular Complimentary (a free VIP Complimentary at Nu Metro Hyde Park, Nu Metro Bedford, and Nu Metro Woodlands only).
  19. Nu Metro reserves the right to cancel the promotion or vary the Terms and Conditions thereof at any time without notice.
  20. Nu Metro reserves the right to reject the issue of Regular Complimentary or VIP Complimentary tickets if, at Nu Metro’s sole discretion, Nu Metro suspects any foul play, malice or abuse of the promotion.
  21. Nu Metro accepts no responsibility for lost Metro Moola notes or incorrect entries.
  22. By participating in the promotion, you agree to receive marketing communication from Nu Metro Cinemas.
